2)XP SP3 platform WIZARD in WorkGroup MSHOME

a)Connected via wireless to DLink Router

From the XP SP3 platform named WIZARD:

1)I am able to see MAGIC from WIZARD

2)I not able to add printer

a)I selected Add Printer

i)I selected via Network

ii)I selected browse for printer: MAGICHP deskjet 5550 series (HPA)

(1)This is recognized, but I was unable to find a driver for it

(a)I tried downloading the driver from HP:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=71896 , but that driver was not recognized.

(b)Eventually I figured out that maybe I needed to install the driver on the Win7 (64) system for use by the XP system.So, I went to that platform.

From the WIN7(64) platform named MAGIC:

1)I downloaded the XP driver from HP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=71896, and expanded it into C:drivers5550-enu-win2k_xp

2)I selected the hp deskjet 5550 series (HPA) printer via left-click

a)I selected Printer Properties by right-click

b)I selected the Sharing tab by right-click

i)Share this printer and Render print jobs on client computer are checked.

c)I selected Additional Drivers… by right-click

d)I checked x86 Type3-User Mode(currently Installed says No)

e)I clicked OK by right-click

i)I set the Copy files from to C:drivers5550-enu-win2k_xp

ii)I right-clicked on OK
