Sony Vaio Touchpad Scroll Driver Windows 7

Sony Vaio Touchpad Scroll Driver Windows 7 Rating: 8,4/10 11 votes

I just upgraded my Sony Vaio laptop’s OS to Windows 10. Unit 731 testimony. Couldn’t do any vertical scrolling. Went to the mouse configuration, advanced and there I found the option to use two fingers a bit separated in the middle to scroll up or down or use only one finger in one side of the panel. Feb 23, 2010  Windows 7 Forums is the largest help and support community, providing friendly help and advice for Microsoft Windows 7 Computers such as Dell, HP, Acer, Asus or a custom build. Hi, I installed Windows 7 (64-Bit) on my Sony Vaio laptop (VGN-FW11E) yesterday coming from Vista (32-Bit).

Laptop touchpads are the cause of 'jumping cursor' syndrome. You can accidentally brush the touchpad with your palm while typing, causing cursor to jump around the screen. Sometimes you don't even need to brush the touchpad and the cursor still jumps because of driver/hardware issues, and believe me, it is very annoying. There is a software solution for that - a free program called TouchFreeze, but it doesn't always work. So the ultimate solution would be to disable the touchpad and use the external mouse.
This looks like a trivial issue but in fact it is not. Sony Vaio, in particular, will not let you disable the touchpad in BIOS or in Device Manager. Most instructions on the web will tell you to 'Open Vaio Control Center, expand Mouse and Pointing Device, find checkbox that says Enable and uncheck it..' Well, guess what? It works only when laptop is fresh from the store with all factory default software installed. As soon as you made a clean install of Windows 7, all Vaio software is gone or stops working properly.
This instruction will tell you how to restore Sony Vaio software and bring this 'Enable Pointing Device' checkbox back from abyss.

The other day while I was clearing some space on my Sony Vaio PCG-71312L, I accidentally deleted the touchpad's driver. The mouse itself is fine, it's just that the scrolling is not working.

I looked around for the CD that came with the laptop, but couldn't find it. Also, I tried searching for the drivers, but with no success. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for a solution that doesn't involve installing softwares, the driver will suffice.

Sometimes you have driver but it's not work for various issues. In my case i don't know why touch panel did stop to response on some actions like scrolling page when touching corners. I searched and finally this simple guide movie helped me. you just need to get default setup settings if you have same trouble. this video must be help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkgBSL6Z4BUGood Luck.
